MEET JESSICA LILJA
Resident Choreographer - The Goddess Closet ProductionBallet Master/ Choreographer - Confluence Ballet
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Jessca Lilja began ballet training as a youth at Point Park Conservatory, under the tutelage of Roberto Munoz. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Education with a concentration in Pedagogy from Mercyhurst University, and in 2000, Jessica acquired her MBA from Point State College’s Business School.While attending Mercyhurst, Jessica performed extensively with the Erie Ballet Theatre and Mercyhurst Performing Arts. Her full-length ballet performances included Sleeping Beauty (bluebird), Coppelia, Cinderella, and the Nutcracker. She also created the original choreography for the Phoenix Project, which was performed in Pittsburgh, PA.
While studying for her MBA, Jessica performed with the Southwest Ballet Company and also managed the Southwest High School's Early Release Program, which helped many young dancers further their careers. Along with her career as a freelance choreographer, dancer, & teacher, Jessica was the former Director of the Allegro Ballet Academy. She is married to James Lilja and is the mother Eli, 18 years of age, and Eva 16.
